Bob (BS, MS, MSE, MBA) is a self-motivated, resourceful, results driven team player with over fifteen years of successful sales and management experience. An enthusiastic innovator with strong communication skills incorporating a consultative approach to nurture and develop both internal and external partnerships allowed Bob to facilitate the most effective solutions for his clients. As a Field Sales Engineer and Sales Manager with Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies in the Semiconductor Products Group, he continually increased sales in his assigned account base and was involved in developing new sales tools to complement the sales effort of the division.

Accomplishments

  • Grew the Semiconductor Products Group sales ten times and the sales through channel partners eight times in six years as the Canadian Country Manager.
  • Successfully integrated two new channel partners into the Canadian sales program by developing co-op sales initiatives which contributed to the channel sales growth.
  • Hired and trained needed resources and reorganized the Canadian Sales Team successfully integrating new members, increasing coverage of key accounts and channel partners resulting in higher sales.
  • Met or exceeded sales objectives five consecutive years as Canadian Country Manager.
  • Coordinated efforts with marketing group and provided creative inputs leading to a new print ad that was placed in key publications generating sales leads.
  • Developed high level relationships and partnership with a major EMSI provider in the GTA resulting in increased sales (<$500K to >$5000K in two years) and a First Year “Partners in Performance” Award. Hp/Agilent SPG has received this award each year hence.
  • Developed an internal linkage report coordinating inputs from the OEM and EMSI teams. The report is now a standard reporting tool facilitating communication on business situations between the teams.
  • Coordinated efforts between vendor, OEM, and EMSI provider to develop a fiber optic cleanliness specification. The specification was adopted leading to increased market share of fiber optic products at the EMSI provider (>90%).

Out of the Office

Bob lives in Burlington, Ontario, with his beautiful wife. He is an avid reader, runner and golfer and trains year round. Bob also enjoys fine wines and collects them to enjoy in later years. Military aircraft are an interest and part of his time is spent building and detailing model planes and ships.
